Are you more of a night or morning person?
Ah the moon, how it calls to my soul. Its steadfast, cyclical presence a constant lesson that everything happens in its own time and we have no control of the waxing and waning of life. She pulls my heart heavenward while still reminding me that my place is here. I have been known to set an alarm for the middle of the night so I can bathe in her full moon beams at the zenith. She sits as a witness as I bask in her steady glow, and I feel seen. The stillness replenishes my aching heart with contentment and ease. All will be as it should if I allow the cycles to unfold, riding them like the waves she rules over as well.
But oh the glorious sunrise. Nothing else provides the gentle motivation of the sunrise. Waking before the dawn for a hike through nature as life comes to life brings hope and confidence. Waking up with the sun feels like being in the driver’s seat of your day. It makes the first action of the day a choice, not a requirement. Be here now the sunrise says, don’t waste a moment but also don’t rush. Breathe and move forward from a place of calm, with peace in your heart. You have options, dear one. Each new day is a new beginning. A fresh start. Painting the sky with his fire, the sun compels us to rise. Rise to the occasion. Rise to your highest potential. Rise from the ashes, reborn to each new phase of life. The sun, the most magnificent star in the sky, does not just flick on like a lightbulb. He stretches and yawns and takes his time becoming, he encourages you to do the same. Wake up, but do so gently. The sun cycles faster than the moon, but it is a cycle nonetheless. Each of them say, take your time, all is unfolding as it should, so please, please soak up the beauty and wisdom we offer.
Take time to appreciate these amazing forces of nature. We would not be we without them. They hold a power beyond comprehension, let them be allies as you ebb and flow. Rise and set. Wax and wane. For me, holding wonder at each sunrise and every phase of the moon is a cosmic Little Victory.
